Connecting the hardware¶
How Protequ reaches it¶
Over an IP network, directly — there is no converter. Protequ talks to the panel with the Abbas OutDom2 protocol on a fixed TCP port, 10002.
Before you start¶
- The Dominus3 panel is on the site network and reachable from the Protequ server. The panel shows its own IP address on its display.
- You can run the Abbas SetDom configuration software (version 1.13 or newer, part of ProDom) and connect to the panel with it — SetDom is where the connection credentials are created.
On the equipment¶
Everything here is done in SetDom, connected to the panel:
- Open the control unit settings and go to the Connection (Připojení) tab. The panel's IP address is shown here.
- Create an OutDom2 connection. SetDom generates a connection name and a password.
- Copy the password straight away — it is shown only once and cannot be read again later. If you lose it, delete the connection and create a new one.
The communication port is 10002, fixed: it is not shown in the UI and cannot be changed.
In Protequ¶
Add the Dominus panel and fill in these fields on the configuration page:

There is no port field — 10002 is fixed.
Confirm it works¶
After the panel connects, run discovery. It reads its own hardware in, and the subsystems, modules, detectors, readers and doors appear in the tree within a few seconds.
If it does not connect¶
- Login refused right after a restart or crash. The panel keeps the previous session open under the same connection name and refuses a second login until its own session timeout passes. Clear the dangling session in SetDom's connection manager, or wait for the timeout, then try again.
- Login refused with the right address. Check the connection name and password match exactly what SetDom generated. If the one-time password was lost, create a new OutDom2 connection in SetDom and use the new values.
- Panel pings but never connects. Confirm port 10002 is open through any firewall between the Protequ server and the panel.
