Notes from the field

Laboratory PROTEQU, 16 September 2026, Integral IP, user PROTEQU, Key Other manufacturer and Standard, Intmel including zone 2.

The Czech site pack with the same tables and the handover form lives with the adapter source — not in this published bundle.

Inputs vs outputs

An output is a relay or sounder. The panel can switch it. Protequ has Activate and Deactivate on that node, plus bypass.

An input or EXT is a contact on the terminals. Protequ cannot close it. ISP-IP has no such command. You see it close, and you can bypass it or put it in test. Closing it means the screw terminals, not a lightning icon in the tree.

If someone asks “can we activate inputs and outputs?”: outputs yes, inputs no — and that is correct.

Acceptance tests

Each row is one test. Do it on the panel or in Protequ (the columns say where). The result must match in three places: the Integral display, the element tile in Protequ, and Live audit on the panel card.

A keypad command and the same command from Protequ are two tests. Mute from the keypad (row 16) is not mute from Protequ (row 22) — both must pass.

Before you run the tests on a live site:

  • Agree them with the customer and the site operators. Sounders and alarm transmission really fire.
  • Put alarm transmission (ARC / fire brigade) in test mode, or report the test under local rules. Rows 13 and 15 otherwise call the brigade.
  • Bypass outputs that must not switch (extinguishing, ventilation, door magnets) and restore them afterwards. Write both down.

You need: test spray or a magnet on an automatic detector, a call point, a way to close an input terminal, an operator PIN (not level 1 for row 39), a Schrack technician with IDC for row 9, and a spare system-bus module card for row 49 (any cabinet with plug-in cards, not only EvoxX M). Row 49 restarts the panel. Row 48 is N/A — Integral reports one general battery fault.

Unlock the keypad with the key-symbol key and an operator PIN (not level 1). Level 1 can only reset and open lists. Revision from the keypad is … → REVIZE (row 39); row 31 is the same action from Protequ.

Connection and tree

# Check On the panel In Protequ Expected Lab Site
1 Port 11113 NET / Ethernet up Test-NetConnection / nc succeeds ✓ ☐
2 Login Operation control system (ISP-IP) loaded; External system user and password; Key matches Protequ; Remote access on the object (local keypad stays) Panel card not Stopped Live: connected as that user. No standing interface-busy reject ✓ ☐
3 Key Other manufacturer Key = Other manufacturer key_set OtherManufacturer Login accepted. On site test only the Key that is set; mark the other N/A ✓ ☐ / N/A
4 Key Standard Key = Standard key_set Standard Login accepted. Both sides must match ✓ ☐ / N/A
5 Import Intmel Project in the panel = the export Add device, later Import → Update existing Tree matches the panel. Update does not overwrite IP, username or password. Group 1 = address 0. Detector SubNo is not shifted ✓ ☐
6 Clock Panel time visible Time zone on the panel card = site zone Drift under 1 min. Protequ sends the time if it is more ✓ ☐
7 Wrong password Panel password stays Type a wrong password on the card, then the right one. Do not restart Docker or change Key Panel rejects the bad password. After the correct pair, login returns by itself (~36 s). Restarting Docker during that wait can look like a link fault ✓ ☐
8 Ethernet out / in Unplug NET, wait at least 40 s (longer than the panel timeout), plug back Card offline, then states return. Conditions that only continued must not appear as new events (a new fire) ✓ ☐
9 Password change New External system password in IDC, load the project Same value on the panel card. No Docker / service restart Session reconnects after the slot wait (~36 s) ✓ ☐

Alarm from the panel

For T1 use an automatic detector. A call point often jumps straight to general alarm.

Detector pre-alarm (row 20) is not T1. It is the first smoke threshold (IMAP Voralarm list). Do it in day mode (Delay LED on): at night T1 does not run and the same spray usually jumps straight to alarm. It is fiddly — a magnet or a call point goes straight to alarm; use very light, slow smoke and stop the moment the display or Protequ shows pre-alarm, still before T1.

# Check On the panel In Protequ Expected Lab Site
10 Automatic fire Spray / magnet on an automatic detector (not a call point) Watch the detector and its group Section alarm on that detector → T1 on the panel → later general alarm if you let it run. Live: fire on the detector, not only the group ✓ ☐
11 T1 wait Do nothing for the confirm time (often 30 s) Panel in confirming (T1). Not the same line as a standing detector alarm ✓ ☐
12 T1 → T2 on the keypad Confirm alarm during T1 Panel in investigating (T2) ✓ ☐
13 T2 → general alarm Let T2 run out General alarm and transmission (brigade; on site in test mode). Different from the first section alarm ✓ ☐
14 Abort in T2 Alarm reset during T2 (false alarm) Intervention ends. Brigade is not called ✓ ☐
15 Manual call point Press a call point Manual fire + general alarm. T1 often absent ✓ ☐
16 Mute buzzer on the keypad Acoustic reset after general alarm Piezo quiet. Fire stays ✓ ☐
17 Mute sounder on the keypad Sounder reset Real sounder quiet. HAL / SAL relays stay until alarm reset ✓ ☐
18 Reset on the keypad Alarm reset Detector and group leave alarm. May arrive in two steps ✓ ☐
19 Day / night on the keypad Delay button (day mode) Panel day / night follows the keypad ✓ ☐
20 Detector pre-alarm Day mode. Very light smoke on an automatic detector (not a magnet, not a call point), first threshold only. Fiddly — a little more and you already have T1 / alarm Watch for a pre-alarm line on the detector before T1 Detector pre-alarm, not T1. At night it usually will not show ✓ ☐

Commands from Protequ

Use the panel card or the element. Wait for Success.

# Check On the panel In Protequ Expected Lab Site
21 Reset Display clears Reset after a fire Same as keypad reset ✓ ☐
22 Mute buzzer Piezo quiet Mute buzzer after general alarm Success only after general alarm while fire still stands. In T1 / T2 the panel refuses — that is expected ✓ ☐
23 Mute / reactivate sounder Sounder off / on Mute sounder, then Reactivate Real sounder only. HAL / SAL are relays ✓ ☐
24 Day / night Delay indicator follows Day / night on the panel card Same mode on both sides ✓ ☐
25 Switch to T2 Panel leaves T1 Switch to T2 while T1 is running Refused after a call-point general alarm — T1 is already over ✓ ☐
26 Bypass group Group disabled Group → Bypass, then Cancel bypass Tile disabled ↔ idle. Live: address disabled / enabled ✓ ☐
27 Bypass detector Detector disabled Detector → Bypass Command goes to that detector. The panel may report the whole group (/255) — Protequ still follows ✓ ☐
28 Bypass input Input disabled Input → Bypass State on the input, not on an output ✓ ☐
29 Bypass EXT EXT disabled EXT → Bypass Same as an input ✓ ☐
30 Bypass output Output disabled Output → Bypass Sounder or relay disabled / enabled ✓ ☐
31 Start / finish test Revision LED on / off Group or detector → Start test, then Finish test on the same element Tile TEST. Start and Finish on the same element. Finish on a child can leave the group and the detector out of step — a dirty detector outside test is then a live fire ✓ ☐
32 Alarm in test Spray the detector that is in test Test activation, not a live turnout ✓ ☐
33 Activate an output from the tree Chosen output switches (panel number = Protequ address + 1) Any output in the tree → Activate, then Deactivate Success both ways. Lab: address 0 (output 1 on the panel) ✓ ☐
34 Activate another output (relay) Kind: ............ Protequ address: ...... / panel number: ...... Output → Activate / Deactivate Success. Lab: address 122 ✓ ☐
35 Activate another output (sounder or relay) Kind: ............ Protequ address: ...... / panel number: ...... Output → Activate / Deactivate Success. Lab: address 402 ✓ ☐

Protequ cannot close an input or EXT. Those commands are not there.

Bypass and revision from the panel

# Check On the panel In Protequ Expected Lab Site
36 Bypass a group Unlock → group number → OFF, then enable Group disabled / enabled ✓ ☐
37 Bypass input / output / EXT Same with input / output keys Matching tile ✓ ☐
38 Bypass one detector only Disable one detector This Integral often reports the whole group. Tick N/A if you cannot get a single-detector disablement limit ☐ / N/A
39 Revision from the keypad Unlock (not level 1) → select detector zone(s) → … (three dots right of the numeric pad on the new tablet) → REVIZE. Exit the same way → ON Group tile TEST, same as row 31. Technician 2026-09-21. Lab not re-run yet — ☐

Bypass can close fire doors — check the Integral operator booklet (IMAP).

Contacts, faults, power

Do not mix rows 45 and 46, and never unplug 230 V and the battery together — the panel dies.

Battery disconnect (row 46): leave mains on. Break only the standby pack (battery cable or fuse, not live terminals under load). The panel shows a general battery fault (trouble list, element Batterie, panel number). Technician 2026-09-21: Integral does not distinguish low voltage, fault and disconnect. In Protequ that is battery.fault, not a mains failure. A series resistor will not produce a different line. Plug back → battery.normal. If the display still shows the fault, reset it (IMAP: WARNUNGEN RÜCK). Row 45 is the other way: battery stays, unplug 230 V → running on battery.

# Check On the panel In Protequ Expected Lab Site
40 Close an input Close the terminal (not a call point, not Bypass) Watch that input Input active / inactive. Not a manual fire ✓ ☐
41 EXT follows the input Same contact if the project pairs them Watch the EXT Alarm or trouble on the EXT, then clear ✓ ☐
42 Detector missing Unplug a mapped detector Trouble on that detector / group, then restored. Not unresolved ✓ ☐
43 Element not in the tree Raise activity on something left out of Intmel Unresolved-device line on the nearest parent. Nothing dropped ✓ ☐
44 Loop / ring Open the loop Loop trouble, then restored ✓ ☐
45 Mains Unplug 230 V, battery stays Power fault → battery, then restored ✓ ☐
46 Battery disconnected Mains stays on. Disconnect only the pack (cable / fuse). Not both General battery fault (same report as low / fault), then restored. Not a mains failure ✓ ☐
47 After a drop, no stale test Start test or bypass → unplug Ethernet → clear test / bypass on the panel → plug back Wait for one snapshot Protequ matches the new snapshot. A test / bypass cleared on the panel during the drop must not stick from memory ✓ ☐
48 Weak battery — Integral does not distinguish low voltage / fault / disconnect. Same general battery fault as 46. No resistor test. N/A limit N/A
49 Module card Unseat a spare system-bus card (not NET, not the only SCU). The panel restarts — it does not fail over to a backup CPU. Any cabinet with plug-in cards, not only EvoxX M. After reboot: MODPAS (SW) or MODAKT (HW) with position. Session drops. Skip without a spare card skip ☐ / N/A

Service access

Service access is a live technician session on the panel (element RemoteAccess). It is not the Remote access setting on the Operation control system.

# Check On the panel In Protequ Expected Lab Site
50 Technician login Technician logs in Panel in maintenance / service access. Standing trouble stays ✓ ☐
51 Still in service after reconnect Stay logged in; unplug Ethernet; plug back After login, the panel is in maintenance again ✓ ☐
52 Technician logout End remote / service access Service access ends. Fire / trouble that still exists stays ✓ ☐

Do not treat these as failures

These are not holes in Protequ. Do not mark them failed on a handover.

  • Pulling the panel’s own event history into Protequ — ISP-IP has no history buffer. Protequ keeps what arrived while connected.
  • Simulate alarm (calls the brigade).
  • Battery Check from Protequ — this Integral refuses it.
  • Remote On for extinguishing or ventilation as a fire command.
  • Closing an input from Protequ.
  • Per-element Audit tab on a detector — the platform shows Live / History on the panel card.
  • Floor-plan / Designer — only when those adapters run on the site.

Mute buzzer is refused until general alarm — Success only after that. Mute sounder is acoustics only. HAL / SAL relays hold until alarm reset.
